Leaving a light footprint in our environment and in our store is a priority for Berry Flooring.
We recognize the sensitive nature of climate change and the need for everyone to contribute to a cleaner world. Everyone can make a difference and Berry Flooring is committed to providing consumers with the latest earth-friendly trends, from the manufacturing process, raw materials or the finished product itself.
We’re proud to promote and carry a variety of natural flooring products, cleaners, adhesives, renewable resource woods, stones and tiles—all with the intent to take as little from nature as possible while making your home look and feel beautiful. These efforts also help to reduce the amount of waste to local landfills.
Some of the initiatives we are currently planning at Berry Flooring:
- Future launch of an underpad recycling program that will reduce waste by at least 25 per cent.
- Provide renewable and natural products such as natural linoleum, cork, bamboo, natural fibre rugs, (wool and jute), recycled atmosphere rubber, PVC, Marmoleum, and vinyl flooring. Many of these items boast more than 35% recyclable elements and do not contain any volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and will not promote microbial or fungal growth, which is helpful to maintaining your family’s health.
- Promote companies that have made it their mandate to reduce carbon emissions, dyes and chemicals during production.
Berry Flooring is currently working with local and regional companies to create a reuse and recycle program for some used flooring products.
